Jewellery Care Advice
• Please keep your jewellery dry. Avoid wearing in the bath/shower or whilst swimming. • Please do not drop, bend, untwist or try to take out the stones. • It is advised to spray any fragrance and allow to fully dry before wearing your jewellery. • Store in a clean dry place away from direct sun exposure. Sunlight can change the colour of your stones. •To prevent tarnish/patina for longer keep clean using the soft cloth provided. It is best to store in an air tight plastic bag to reduce oxidisation. • Keep away from small children and pets.
Do you create custom orders?
If you have a specific gemstone in mind, or own a crystal that you would like to wear as a piece of jewellery I am happy to discuss ideas. I may be able to help design something bespoke just for you. The time it takes would vary based on sourcing the right materials and the amount of detail involved. If I am unable to assist you I will endeavour to help you find a solution.
Do You Ship Outside The UK?
My Numonday shop is set up for UK shipping only, but message me for quotes on shipping to America, Canada and Australia and I may be able to set this up as a private sale.
I love making international sales and only wish I was half as well travelled as my jewellery!
My only reason for not having this set up automatically in my store are not being able to manually select the parameters by country. Unfortunately I no longer ship to the EU. This is down to fellow crafters sharing their experiancies with packages being returned or going missing since Brexit customs changed. Often this is due to unexpected fees the customer did not expect. My business is far too small to absorb these costs.
Why Do You Not Offer Free p&p?
I am a small run business and simply do not earn enough to subsidise shipping fees. At the same time I try to be fair with my customers. I aim to keep my fees low, making my own beautiful gift boxes by hand. I charge one single shipping fee at checkout, regardless of how many items you add in a single order.
Free shipping sound good right? But is it really free? Other companies choose to factor in their p&p expenses into the price of every individual item they stock, meaning you are usually still paying the fee anyway. This is a mark up on every single item in your basket, meaning you could well be paying shipping more than once.
Estimated Delivery Times?
When will you post?
I try to ship as soon as possible. I have set the parameters at 3 working days but more often than not they are sent within the first day. It may take longer if you have requested a custom made item.
I typically ship from the UK via Royal Mail First Class, Large Letter. If you require fast tracked options please contact me and discuss options. International orders are sent by airmail which usually arrives within 30 days. I cannot guarantee a delivery date for your order but if your item has not arrived within five weeks please get in touch. Covid19 impacts each country differently when it comes to shipping so check your local information for any estimated delays. The same goes for any local strikes with mail or transport services. In these instances I ask for a little extra patience.
Typically:
UK delivery: 1-3 working days
Canada: 1-5 weeks
North America: 1-5 weeks
Australia, New Zealand and Oceania: 3-6 weeks
Customs and import taxes
Buyers are responsible for any customs and import taxes that may apply. I'm not responsible for delays due to customs but will send everything tracked.
Eco Friendly
I inherited a large quantity of organza bags which I will continue to use with some of my sales until I run out, as I don't want to waste them. I have started to make my own recyclable packaging too. They make wonderful gift ready boxes. I typically ship in letterbox friendly corrugated cardboard boxes that are also recyclable. Weather permitting (rare to have a heatwave in the UK) I often include a complimentary chocolate treat in my packaging.
•Please be aware for the purpose of allergy information that the treats may contain trace of nuts and should be disposed of if you have allergies.
Can I Personalise Gifts?
Yes you can.
I never include a paper invoice, and all of my items are gift ready to be shipped directly to the recipient of your choice. I am more than happy to include a personal note on your behalf. I also make a selection of greeting cards if you prefer to include one for a small additional fee. Message me or leave a note at check out if you would like this option.
Alterations? Ear Settings & Chain Lengths
The perk of making my own jewellery rather than selling factory made stock, is the ability to customise each piece to suit the recipient. If you are looking for a longer/shorter chain lengths, easy to open clasps, or would prefer a bag charm instead of a necklace I can customise my work before shipping it to you.
My standard ear hooks are silver plated. Some people have sensitivities to certain metals, so I do offer alternatives in my shop. You can purchase a pair of stainless steel or sterling silver ear wires along with your earrings and I will fit them for you before shipping. I also list iron clip on ear settings for those with non-pierced ears. Simply search ‘ear wire alterations Tanmade With Love’ and make your selection.
Returns Policy
I am happy to offer a refund on some of my items (see below for restrictions). Returns are accepted providing you contact me via email within 14 days of delivery, and items are returned to me within 30 days of delivery. It is highly recommended you keep proof of postage should you choose to return anything as I will only be able to process a refund once the item has arrived back with me. All jewellery must be returned in pristine, unworn condition with its original packaging. Buyers are responsible for return postage costs.
I do not accept cancellations, but please contact me if you have any problems with your order.
For hygiene reasons earrings (or sets containing earrings) cannot be cancelled once dispatched or returned.
All bespoke, customised or personalised designs are non-cancellable and non-refundable.
Privacy policy
I Tanya Wannerton am the data-controller of your personal information as it relates to my shop.
When you place an order from me, I will receive your name, delivery address and email address from folksy or numonday. I will only use these details to process and deliver your order, or deal with any queries you have related to that order. Alternately any private sale requested via social media messaging avenues will be the only place you share your delivery address.
The only circumstances in which I will share your data are in processing your order or complying with the law. I will never use or pass on your information to third parties for marketing purposes or any other purpose, other than the circumstances listed below, or add you to any mailing list without your explicit consent. The circumstances in which I may share your data are:
• With folksy or numonday to comply with my obligations.
• With delivery companies to fulfil your order.
• To comply with legal or tax obligations.
I will only retain your details for as long as necessary in order to process the transaction and I will securely store any data collected during that period. I retain personal data related to orders or customer queries for six years. After this time I will delete your data from my records.
You have the right to know what personal data I hold about you, and to ask for that data to be changed or deleted. You also have the right to complain to the ICO if you believe there is a problem with the way I handle your data.
Do You Accept Paypal?
NuMonday (my shop/selling platform) takes payments from all major credit and debit cards via Stripe. They do not accept Paypal. However... I do! If you see something you would like to purchase via Paypal send me an email, or drop me a DM on social media and I would be happy to sell privately.
