Not only is your jewellery self expression, but every handmade piece is designed to tell a story, unique to you. I strongly believe jewellery is a way to keep memories alive. It's our own personal connections and stories that add to them.
Welcome To Tanmade With Love
A treasure trove of handmade jewellery and gifts for those who enjoy supporting small independent artists, sustainable fashion, and those who love one of a kind, unique pieces of jewellery. From simple assembled quick fashion, to intricate and ornate statement pieces.
My business came about through a little support and encouragement to sell jewellery I made and shared on social media. I began wire wrapping copper jewellery in 2019, in the months before the pandemic struck. I was really taken with it and made so much jewellery in my first year of crafting so Tanmade With Love was officially launched in September 2020 as a way of sustaining my hobby. I love hearing how much joy and happiness something I've made has brought to another. Not only can a piece of jewellery brighten an outfit, but it's also something versatile to be enjoyed throughout generations. No wardrobe is ever complete without a good scent, and those special touches that accessorise and show the world who you are! Your style allows your individuality to shine through, and I hope Tanmade With Love holds a special piece that resonates with you and your loved ones.
Should you feel inspired, you can find individual links to my selling platform NuMonday, by searching through the shop tab at the top of this page. A perfect place to browse and purchase my beautiful artisan collection.
If you would prefer to discuss a bespoke piece, designed just for you, or you wish to reserve your favourite treasure (to order via paypal), please get in touch.
Thank you for supporting a creative soul with a dream! Enjoy shopping.
With gratitude and best wishes,
Tanya xx
About me
Hello, I am Tanya from Lichfield, Staffordshire, and I have a passion for creating beautiful and unique copper wire & gemstone jewellery.
I learnt how to wire wrap through home study using amazing tutorials and a little self determination. I have been living with agoraphobia for almost a decade so this incredible hobby has provided me with a new way to decompress and keep anxiety in check. I have always loved collecting crystals and gemstones, so turning them into wearable pieces was a natural progression.
What can I share about myself? I am a married 40-something introvert, who loves being near the ocean (not that I get there often enough) and adores animals. After losing my soul dog last year I found great comfort in feeding the birds and squirrels in the garden. They are so cheeky and being around them fast became my happy place. My other crafts include making greetings cards and gift boxes, I can knit and needle felt but it has been a while. Crochet is the one I can't seem to grasp. I love supporting fellow crafters, makers and bakers, and feel the love and heart that goes into something handmade or purchased with intention. I am best summarised by a quote from the legend that was, Maya Angelou -
"My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humour, and some style.”
Why Copper?
Sustainable fashion
Besides its natural beauty and ability to oxidise and transform, 100% of copper can be recycled without any loss of its original mined quality. Over 80% of the copper mined since it was discovered thousands of years ago is still in use today.
Those who happen to be deficient in copper may benefit from wearing it in jewellery form, such as necklaces, rings and bracelets. It is a good way of taking in the small amount of the mineral needed, without overwhelming the body. The healing properties of copper has been reported by some to relieve the symptoms of arthritis and circulation problems.
In the UK, copper is traditionally associated with the ninth year of marriage (7th in the USA), its beauty and malleability symbolising the way a married couple can bend to accommodate each other after nine long years.
